Dr. Gina Massoglia is board certified in general surgery and is a native to the Annapolis area. She graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.

Dr. Massoglia is dedicated to comprehensive and informative surgical care and patient education. Her practice encompasses all aspects of general surgery including: hernias, gallbladder, colon, and endocrine procedures. She has special expertise in advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery - most notably in anti-reflux surgery for hiatal hernias and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Dr. Massoglia will be operating at Anne Arundel Medical Center and is available for appointments. New patients are always welcome.

Services Provided
Patients receive a comprehensive examination, consultation and educational review, diagnosis and treatment of surgical disorders. The practice encompasses all aspects of general surgery including gallbladder, ulcer, hernia, colon, and endocrine procedures.

Special interest lies in advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery - most notably in antireflux surgery (Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication) for heartburn, hiatal hernias and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Other laparoscopic procedures include ventral incisional hernia and inguinal (groin) hernia repair, colon resection, appendix removal, lysis of adhesions (removal of abdominal scar tissue). Office procedures include abscess drainage, cyst or mole removal, varicose vein sclerotherapy, and others.
